A little something to remember...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says,
"I will try again tomorrow."

Sunshiney Days

The weather in NYC is finally starting to resemble spring!!! I can't tell you how nice it is. The sunshine is warm streaming thru the window and it puts me in such a good mood. Even the past few days can't get me down.

Forgetting New York Boys

I saw 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' last night, and while the movie is very funny, it really made me think about past relationships. I always seem to be the guy getting shit on in the relationship. I tend to be fairly laid back and easy going when I'm seeing someone. I don't need expensive things, cards, 200 text messages a day telling me 'I'm thinking about you', or anything like that. I simply need someone to spend a little time with me and treat me well.

Unfortunately, that never happens. The pattern always seems to be that we go on a few dates, things seem to be rolling along pretty great, then communication stops, and I'm left alone with no explanation as to why.

It doesn't just happen to me. A friend of mine is going thru it right now too. I think part of it is that we live in New York City, and the guys here are generally jerks. There's a constant feeling of 'maybe I can do better' that keeps people on the prowl when they've already got a good thing going with someone.

I think boys in New York suck. I've had my heart broken so many times here. It makes it hard to let the guard down and trust someone again. So, maybe I'm just destined to be single. I can rock that.

'sun' burn

So....this is why fair skinned boys shouldn't go in to a tanning bed. That's not the skin really is hot pink.

mystery body part

The mystery body part is the crease of my thigh and calf when I was sitting 'indian' style.

HNT #52-My First Year

Yay!!! I fulfilled 52 weeks of HNT! Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. For today's post I'm giving you a photo from Broadway Bares last year. I made that costume....the theme was Myth-Behavior, so I went as Black Party Hermes...note the wings on my boots.

I've also taken HNT photos all week, so without further ado: enjoy! Happy HNT!!!!

Decided to show the dancer feet and legs this week, along with a mystery body part. Who can guess what it is?

So, I signed up for the AIDS Walk New York the day before yesterday. By last night, I had already surpassed the fundraising goal of $1000 I set for myself. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS donated a check for $500 that pushed me past my goal when added to the other very generous donations given by my friends and family.

I truly appreciate all the support! I'm still collecting up until the walk, so if you can, please donate!

AIDS Walk New York

I just registered for AIDS Walk New York on May 18. This is two days before my 30th birthday, and the best gift anyone could give me is a donation to help me reach my goal of raising $1000.

You can donate online at:

Please help me out if you're financially in a position to do so.

Thanks in advance!!!

Sunny days and Mondays!!!

G'morning! Here's me drinking my pomegranate spritzer. LOL. Spritzer...that's a funny word. It's just pom juice and ginger ale. YUMMY!!! Try'll like it.

We finally have a seemingly warm, sunshiny day! I haven't stepped outside yet this morning, so I'm not sure it's warm, but it looks beautiful.

So....I turn the big 3-0 in about five weeks. I need help. Who's got fun party ideas? I want to throw a big bash. Leave me a comment if you've got suggestions.

Late nights, Early mornings

For those of you that don't know, I'm working as a PA (production assistant) for an event company that I love. However, I'm working thru the event company for another company. After a very trying day yesterday, I rode the train home from SoHo....which takes a long time late at night. Thankfully my roomie was still awake for me to vent to. He made us frothy nightcaps, we played guitar for a bit, then went to sleep. Woke up early....see picture above...that's me pre-shower, pre-anything for that matter. Now I'm gonna head to the gym to bang out some frustration before work.

HNT #51

Happy HNT....although, I'm actually FNT in this one. I bought a new shower curtain liner this week, and it's clear, so I figured I'd take a few fun pictures the other day. Enjoy!!!

This is me just out of bed. I've eaten breakfast, but still haven't showered. This is me stalling. I need to go to the gym before I head to work for orientation, but I'm a bit unmotivated. So...I'm killing time writing this post. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

What a weekend...

I've had quite a whirlwind of a weekend. Friday night was rather uneventful...went to bed early because I needed to be up super early on Saturday.

Woke up Saturday to get ready to go play piano for a funeral...that started at 9am in Queens. If you know anything about the MTA weekend'll know that the trains are always jacked up on the weekends. Thankfully, my friend Lisa agreed to drive me out to Queens since we're neighbors and she has a car. So, after waking up, eating breakfast, and practicing my music, I showered and headed out the door at 7:45 to go meet her a few blocks away.

The funeral was short...played a few songs, sang a few hymns, and that was it. Lisa dropped me off at my gym so I could work out before heading home. When I finally got home, I felt like I had already finished a full day, and it wasn't even 1pm yet. I did a few things around the apartment before I crashed, and needed to take a nap for a few hours. Woke up...went to church and came home to watch SNL with my roommate.

Today, I woke up early to beat the little old ladies in my building to the laundry room. Every weekend I have to wake up super early one of the days to claim a washer...our building has a laundry room, but only two washers and dryers for a building that has at least 60 apartments.

I finished laundry, went to the store, came home and installed the new deadbolt that I bought. Changed the shower curtain liner because ours was gross, and I just had my lunch at 3:30. I still have to put away my laundry and make up my bed. All I want to do is sit around and be a lazy bum.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

HNT #50

After a brief hiatus last week due to a schedule that nearly sent me over the edge, I bring you my latest HNT featuring the love of my new iPhone. I got this amazing piece of technology last week, and it's changed my life. I often wonder how I survived 29 years without one.

Anywho...enjoy the gratuitous nudity. Happy HNT!

Dolly night on American Idol really let me down last night. I don't understand why they couldn't sing her songs. I thought the song choices themselves were questionable for most of the singers. As usual, David Archuleta was a standout. That boy's voice is gold. I thought Carly Smithson did a great job singing 'Here You Come Again'. Jason Castro's 'Travelin' Thru' was pretty great as well. Overall though, I thought the performances were lackluster with people over singing the simple melodies Dolly is known for writing.
