A little something to remember...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says,
"I will try again tomorrow."

Who's Going to Bail Me Out?

Only in America can a company mismanage money for years and be rewarded with a multiple billion dollar bailout. I haven't owned a car in over 8 years, yet my tax dollars are being dumped into the auto industry. It's funny that George Bush, whose hands are so tied in the oil industry, jumps into action when car manufacturers claim helplessness. Cars need gas, gas comes from oil....if cars don't get produced, people don't buy gas, and Bush's pockets start to feel a little empty.

If I, or anyone else in America mismanages our personal finances, we're SOL, so why doesn't this apply to big business?

I share your thoughts, Matt. I feel that the main problem is that these companies have been allowed to get so big through government approved mergers that the shock waves of their failure are simply too severe for the national/world economy to absorb. So, what's next? GM will absorb Chrysler and the next bailout will be even bigger!
