UPDATE:
Beautiful Natasha Richardson has passed from this world. The theater world has gained a new angel. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in this, no doubt, difficult time.
*********************
I've read many conflicting reports on the condition of Ms. Richardson. I don't know what to believe. The situation feels pretty dire indeed. At this point, I wish the family strength, hope, and peace as they make the decisions necessary for her best interests. This brilliantly talented woman will certainly be missed if indeed the recent news stories are true. Still praying for a miracle.
*********************
While I understand the curiosity and fascination with celebrity, I am shocked and appalled by the media's constant presence and lack of humanity shown by camping out outside of the hospital where Natasha Richardson is hospitalized. Photos showing her mother, sister, and other family members have been posted to websites around the world and it sickens me to see these online.
When will the media circus end? This woman, a member of the royal Redgraves, suffered a horrible accident, and numerous reports a flying around about her condition. I'm saddened by the media's constant need to document every movement the family makes.
While I am very concerned about Ms. Richardson and her family, I would hope the news media and paparazzi would give this family time and space to do what they need to do and make the tough decisions they need to make. It's times like these that the American public should be lifting this family up in prayers and thoughts, not tearing them down by the ravenous need for photos and videos to feed our reality show addled minds.
Please, please, please give this family a little respect and privacy for what could very well be the last few hours of this lovely woman's life here on earth.
A little something to remember...
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

I completely agree. Without question.
It really is a terrible tragedy. She left her husband and two young sons, not to mention the world will be without all the good she does. Very sad loss.
